I had a left simple mastectomy in March 2007 with no reconstruction desired. Dr Pope referred me to Arty Joe's for an areola tattoo because I preferred this to reconstruction surgery. John Hashey tattooed a "three D looking" areola. It looks so real that it fooled him on subsequent touch up visits. He would ask, "Are you the reconstruction or the implant?" Not even John could tell. Everyone is amazed when I show the implanted breast with the life-like tattooed areola. It is truly AMAZING.

Hi John,
I want to thank you and the school for the opportunity to have been taught the art of permanent make up tattoo. The classes were always informative, organized and fun. Lectures which taught color, design and legal obligations that a artist needs to know was great. How to conduct our selves as professional and deal with different issues as they come to you each day. The equipment is top of the line and the hands on training that went with it, that I received. The hands on training from pigs ears to model was excellent. The education of the machine and its parts right down to ordering supplies from you or other suppliers. All of what was promised buy you was true . The time each person needs to complete classes and gain confidants. It is the best school for training anywhere. I am looking forward to staying in touch with an on going education and being friends.
Thank You,

After going through a double mastectomy due to breast cancer, chemotherapy and all the other required drugs to kill the beast of cancer; I decided to have the breast cancer reconstruction. When I had my implants put in I decided after I healed I wanted to have the nipple surgery also. After seeing what they can do to make you feel like a woman again, I wanted it all. After my nipple surgery I started looking for someone that could tattoo my areola and nipple area on my new made breasts. I was given several phone numbers from my doctor of a few nurses who do just this for breast cancer patients. After talking with them and seeing their work I decided to go looking on the internet to see what else was available out there in tattoo land. I stumbled on a lady who does this in New York and I decided to ask her if she knew anyone that could do the work I needed in the Tampa Area. She said “oh my goodness, you are in the best place in the world. Go to the John Hashey School of Permanent Makeup in Oldsmar, FL and he will take care of you.” I was so excited. I pulled him up on the internet and what I saw was amazing. There was John, right in front of me on my computer screen and I knew he was going to make me feel like a women again. After walking into his place of business, I was greeted by John himself and he told me I had come to the right place. He could not have been any nicer. I cannot begin to express how much better I feel about myself as a woman after what he has done for me. Not only did John tattoo my areola area, he also did work on my scars which made them look fantastic. I have more confidence now, so much that I want to show them to everyone because the work he has done is so tremendous! I always tear up when I am there and thank him before I leave. I am sure John knows what he is doing for us women to gain our spirit back, and that is just one of the many things that makes him so special, his compassion for breast cancer survivors. John is the perfect artist and a great artist cannot paint a perfect painting in one day. John tells you up front it will be a process that takes several visits, but believe me, it is well worth it. You will become John’s canvas and will become the perfect painting back into feeling and looking like a woman again. I was John’s canvas and he not only painted the perfect picture on my chest but in my heart and soul.
Thank you John, with gratefulness.

My name is Fred Grissom and I am a licensed general contractor in the state of Florida. I have been in construction for almost 15 years. For the last 2 years I have been considering a career change because of the wear and tear on my body from working myself to death and with the bad economy the timing was actually great. My time spent with John and his school was awesome. The theory of how John teaches and the hands on training could not have worked any better. I would personally like to thank John for everything he has done for me and my new career. John is a great instructor and I know I have a friend for life.

John,
At 12 years old I became the girl whose grandmother had purple eyebrows! She was a model, part Native American and has little hair. She was tired of drawing them on everyday. A "so-called permanent cosmetic tattoo artist" had done this to my grandmother's beautiful face! That day I decided I was going to tattoo when I grew up, the right way, and not turn eyebrows purple! Then, there is my talented husband, a plumber and father in a small town with a huge passion to draw. Two months of research and then we found you! You took us both on, accommodated some traveling needs, and worked with our schedules. Thank you for being honest, straight to the facts, and patient, oh so patient. You are a fabulous teacher and respectable mentor! Kris is now tattooing some amazing traditional pieces and I am working on opening a cosmetic tattoo parlor this fall! We went for our dreams...And we live happily ever after........Thanks to you!!!

Hi John,
I just want to take a moment to thank you for being such a wonderful teacher and such a fine person, too. When I signed up for your permanent make-up class, I had no idea what to expect. And I'm sorry to say that I was somewhat remedial and it took me quite a while to get the hang of it. But you were patient and allowed me to stay with it at the school until I finally felt secure and confident. We have jokingly referred to me as "the student who never left." But now that I have in fact gone out on my own, I have to thank you for all your patience and for letting me stay long enough to build the confidence I needed. I'm so fortunate to have trained with the best! Thanks again.

John, just a note to say thank you for all you do, and for teaching me this very special art. I will be back in a few weeks for more "on skin" training. Darlene looked like she had been maced for a few days, but says her eyes now look "Kick Ass". See You Soon and just wanted you to know you are appreciated. Tell everyone I said Hello.

John,
what can I say? At the beginning of the first week of training with you I couldn't understand why I couldn't make a solid straight line for you and I would be on pig skin forever. You were very patient with me, even when I wasn't. By the end of the first week, I thought that well, maybe there is something to your technique and machine, but I will use the rotary for some procedures still. By the beginning of the second week I thought "Well, maybe this guy is on to something". By the end of the second week, well John, you've converted me totally!!
I want to thank you for changing the way I work and "filling in the blanks". Your method of training really made sense and I would recommend anyone to you for training. Thank you for bringing my work to another level.
Live your life on intent,
Fuel it with Passion!

John,
Was it worth the gripping white knuckle grunting pain for those eyebrow brush strokes.....HELL YES!!! I came home and my daughter took one look and said, "OMG, that's better than anything you've ever done to your face in the 19 years I've known you, that guy must be good." I said, "No, that guy's phenomenal and well worth a 600 mile round trip." All that pulling and tugging to sluice them out paid off...there wasn't one grain of pigment (even in the corners) when I woke up this morning. Puffiness is minimal and only a slight ache remains. I love my eyebrows (even though they may not be perfect to your professional eye) they are a hundred times better than what I had and my black wetlines are stellar, I can't stop checking them out. I forgot to ask exactly how much time you require to do my touch up in a month and then separately how much additional time to do LIPS? Let me know as soon as you can so I can check my calendar and decide if I need to stay overnight then get booked in with you. Thank you John....YOU ROCK!

I had been contemplating a career change for some time, when a friend approached me with an opportunity that seemed “to good to be true”. It was John Hashey’s Advanced School of Permanent Cosmetics. I was immediately excited and jumped on the internet to check it out. There were so many websites claiming to be the best, but when compared to the reputation, level of training and commitment to quality that John was offering, those other schools didn’t even come close. After investigating, I called John. What immediately struck me was that he was professional, informative, and very personable. It took a couple of months to get me in the door, but John worked with me every step of the way.
When I walked into class the first day I was amazed at how many people where attending. There were students from as far away as England. Over the next couple of weeks, the reputation that I had heard and read so much about proved true. John is truly an amazing teacher. No matter how many people where there he took the time to help each student. He can identify problem areas in a snap and has the ability to convey proper technique and reasoning behind it, no matter what level the student. Even more amazingly, he seems to know exactly when to move a student on to the next level.
I was also impressed with the open, interactive atmosphere. Through lectures, videos, live demonstrations and supervised hands-on procedures, John has found a way to cover all the bases, while keeping you excited and involved. Students are encouraged to help each other and the environment couldn’t be more welcoming. This has been an incredible experience and I’m hooked. I am truly grateful to have found something I love to do and even more grateful that I was given the opportunity to work with John. He has inspired me to strive for the best. I look forward to spending a lot more time training with him.

For several months my work colleague and myself had researched various web sites, and attended one of Europe’s main Professional Beauty Seminar in London , looking for a training facility to learn Micro Pigmentation Make up.
After several international telephone conversations we managed to narrow the search to two establishments. John Hashey in Oldsmar, and a lady from the Jacksonville area.
Without any doubt our months of research and investigating was well worth the effort. We decided to attend Johns classes at the end of June 2007. My colleague and myself can not stress enough how professional, talented, and a credit to his profession John Hasheys School of Micro Pigmentation is.
We attended one week of Johns classes and in our opinion, learnt more in that one week than any school or college in the UK , and the US, could have offered us. John takes everyone through, different levels of Micro pigmentation procedures, thoroughly explaining the importance of every factor there is to learn. He is an extremely caring and enthusiastic tutor.
My colleague and myself can not thank John Hashey enough for his wonderful approach and imparting on us his well learned knowledge and skill.
Well worth the thousands of miles we traveled from London, England to acquire
a new friend and a new business trade.
Thank you John
